Temperature vs. Wattage

I am on my 4th grow with CFL's in soil, this one being a new cabinet. During week 2 of veg I was running 100W of light and average temp was 89 degrees. I wanted to get the temperature down so I knocked it down to 50W and had the temp drop to 84 degrees.

The rate of growth at that point was off the charts compared to the higher wattage and temps. What I would like to know is, should I expect the same results all the way through the grow and get a better yield or might I bump it up again during flower to get more light and possibly more yield ?

I know there is alot of seasoned growers who probably know what a good balance is between levels of light and temperature and I would like to know if there is a certain "sweet spot" that will get the maximum yield. Intake temps are a steady 75 degrees, fox farm nutes, superthrive, liquid karma, metro-mix 360 soil, passive intake with 2 fans inside blowing around. Plants are looking incredibly healthy.

Thanks in advance to all comments.

well it depends on how well you can ventilate it. you want to hit at least 100w per plant. anything beyond that is great and will produce more yield.

i guess technically to answer your question ~100w per plant is the sweet spot. adding more light will increase yields though. of course eventually the plants cannot genetically produce more buds. that will differ strain to strain.

Your plants can stress at around 90 and above without a CO2 system, depending on how touchy the plants are. Even with that you still want to stay below 95. I keep my temps at about 75-80.

The more air circulation the better. You might be able to add the rest of the lights back if you better your ventilation.
