Ok guys Im about 98% ready for my first closet grow, ive just got a few more simple questions that i havent found on the guides or from searching, first here is my first set up

all DIY
Wood cab-dimensions 4 ft tall 5 ft wide, 3 1/2 ft deep. Its also about 9 inches off the ground so that alot of my wiring is underneath.

ive got a 4 inch exauhst fan in each corner of the top back of the box, as well as a circulating fan inside, and a light trapped intake hole on the front wall, down low, almost in the middle of the 2 exhausts.

Im going to also use some homemade carbon scrubbers for flowering which im gonna have built around my exhaust holes. but i havent built them yet. but do have the supplys

Umm also the inside is about half flat white, half mylar.

and for my lighting, ive got 9 27w CFL, and 2 42 w CFL so around 327 watts total as of right now, i do plan to add more for flowering probably 2 more 42 Watts.

right now my temps are usually low to mid 80's, and i have no way to test humidity in there just yet.

Ok so for my questions, and they are very basic.

first, all i have access to is mid grade bag seed, now my question is, Is there gonna be extra stress on the seed that could make it more likely to be male? I wonder this because the weed is semi compressed, and ive still managaged to get some good looking seeds, but im worried im wasting my time vegging them, because of the shitty life theyve had.??????????

Also, concerning watering, i now how often and how to tell when water is generally needed, but im super confused on the amount of water at a time for a single watering......say there still in party cups, how much, and say there in 3gallon pots how much?????????

If you guys could answer those 2 questions, then im gonna pop my seeds in germination and be on my way Im so excited and once i do ill have a nice grow journal up if any ones interested.

I'd be surprised if you could stress a seed to the point where it'd hermie the plant. The biggest hermie causing stress is interupting your dark time with light leaks, although under /over watering and over/under nuting

As for watering just water until you get a steady trickle from the drain-holes of your pot, it ensures the soil is soaked through and you want get nasty salt build ups.
