read

dude, i'm on my second grow and i have read enough to know how much wattage and what bulbs to buy and where to get them from. im not making fun, but read a bit on the forum a while or watch some movies on youtube, its much easier to do that instead of having someone write a whole bunch jumble. lol even though i just wrote lol, they say you only need 100 watts per plant, you could go to home depot or pretty much and hardware store, etc. they have 26 watt cfl bulbs 6500k or 2700k, 4 of those would do the trick just get some bulb splitters and you can hook four of those bad boys up to one socket, seems to be working great for me i use 4 26 watt blubs for vegging and cloning. but i would suggest to get something much more powerful for flowering. a 400 watter would be good for the whole grow and you could throw a couple more plants in, but then you have heat issues and all that, so for one plant maybe just stick to cfl until you want to grow more.

So are you saying that 2 of these bulbs would work for 1 plant?

yes

right now i have 4 x 26 watt cfl daylight6500k bulbs and im vegging 4 clones and 2 plants from seed under them, the bulbs are all joined in the same socket with the socket splitters so you only need 1 lamp socket to run i think the max is 250 watts, so dont put anymore than say 8.
