First time using clones

I just got a couple clippings from my friend. he just snipped them off the mother plant and stuck them into water. I quickly transfered them into pots, but I'm wondering if its going to even work, he is an experienced grower and simply told me to put them into soil and keep them moist and set my lights to 24/7. I am using a 400w hps. Will this work without root stimulants?

From what I have read and was told from a very experienced grower it seems they should root by themselves as long as their very moist and warm. Just what I heard bro, wish I had more info, but I personally haven't grown clones. Been growing in ebb & flow for one year.

You're definitely going to want to get a root stimulator. If there is a willow tree around you go out and make some willow tree water.

Willow tree water:
Get a fresh brach around 1 inch round and cut it into 1 inch lengths.
Place the lengths standing up so they cover the bottom of your water jug.
Fill the jug with water and let it soak for 24 hours.
After 24 hours take the willow lengths out of the water and use this water on your cuttings.

Good luck bud.
