Sexing and Flowering

Hey I wanted to hear some opinions on my situation. Its been my first grow and the plants are roughly 6 weeks old. I would like to sex them for obvoius reasons. They've been on 18/6 for about 4 weeks now.

What would be the best way to sex the plants? Lighting and nutrient wise.

Should I pull some clones off prior to or after?

Should I pull some clones off prior to or after?take clones off before,just mind which clone came from which plant(done that before,took clones & forgot which were which)
