Hi! Just got a free sample bottle of Fish-Mix(2.1-0.2-6.6) by ORMI. I was wondering if the ratio on this emulsion is good for growing MJ? Also I wanted someone to help me out and clarify what the ratio on the fertilizers mean (##-##-##). Yes Im a Noob

Fish emultion is good organic stuff I use it but High in nitrogen so bcareful.. ur ferts read like this N-P-K and honestly I was too lazy to write this all out n found this sumwhere on the web..
What does N-P-K stand for?
N = Nitrogen 7-9-5
Nitrogen is the first major element responsible for the vegetative growth of plants above ground. With a good supply, plants grow sturdily and mature rapidly, with rich, dark green foliage.
P = Phosphorus 7-9-5
The second major element in plant nutrition, phosphorus is essential for healthy growth, strong roots, fruit and flower development, and greater resistance to disease.

K = Potassium (Potash) 7-9-5 The third major plant nutrient, potassium oxide is essential for the development of strong plants. It helps plants to resist diseases, protects them from the cold and protects during dry weather by preventing excessive water loss.

Alright, thank you! I was always wondering what they stood for... what ratio of fish emulsion do you Use Cali? I wanted to get 5-1-1 cuz thats what DrBudGreengenes uses. Im a beginner and im using his box set up.http://forum.grasscity.com/advanced-...-per-week.html

You really want to think long and hard about using fish emulsion inside . Even the de-oderized stinks like roadkill . If you live in an area that fruit flies are common then you will get em .

I love the stuff but if you are growing inside in a place you live there are some other alternatives IMO .

Well I have both an indoor and outdoor grow going now and use it in both I also live in dry climate and have good ventilation I dont have any issue with it.. but yes there are other things u can use.. as far as my ratio I would have to double check but im prety sure mine is a 5-1-1 as well.

And on a side note that fish emulsion probably isn't by OMRI but listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute.
