eagle claw leaves?

All but about 5 of my plants leaves are like that. Its a soil grow (pro-mix) in a closet with a fan and 4 6500k cfls. I dont think im overwatering cause i let it dry out pretty good. there is no ventalation in there besides the fan and leaving the door cracked. so what could it be, could it be from the temp. being too high? its about 34 days in vedge now and im waiting for it to look alittle more normal before switching to 12-12

how far are your bulbs from the plants by the way? clawing happens from heat stress too.

oh and the pro-mix soil might also be your problem. im pretty sure that has the time released pellet things (little white balls) and it almost always causes nutrient burn which is why my babies clawed. not only that, its prolly a really heavy soil too and doesnt allow good drainage.

the leaves that are clawing wont recover. just try to isolate and fix the problem and look for new, non clawing leaves to form.

could be heat stress. how often are you watering? What size pots?what is the pH of your water/nute solutions? are you hand watering or is a hydro setup? Check your pH and get those temps down to mid to high 70s while maintaining the lights about 2 inches from the plants if possible. The cooler the temps , the closer you can get the lights. I keep a temp gauge hanging directly above the canopy in the center of the grow area. This way I could give a fuck less what the temps are anywhere else in the room.
Pro mix is a fantastic, inert soiless medium. Those white pellets are perlite which is also inert and help to airate the medium and provide better drainage. Promix cannot burn plants! It's the overdose of nutes getting put into the medium that burn em up.

take a close looks, could be an aphid infestation. If so get some organic insecticide with pyrethrum.

Pro-mix is a good soil could use a little more perlite but over all its a good soil one of my plants always looked very sick and clawed up i checked ph and it was always around 6.5 or so, after i put them into budding it pulled its self out and has fat 8inch long buds. for me it wasnt bugs or nutes the plant itself was just rebelling from the soil your temps sound fine too nothing to worry about. try either a flush or giving them some nutes

ProMix HP has more perlite. I use it with great success. I add nothing else to the medium.
