APT inspection....will it hurt to leave them....
Ok in a couple of days i have an apt inspection, and i will need to take down my grow area, my plants are about a week old and my question is, will it hurt my plants (kinda know it will) but how much if there left in darkness for 5hrs longer than usual? i dont know the exact time, just that they will be here between this time and that time, how bad will it effect them?

What type of inspection is it? Where is your grow room located?
Landlords, who are fairly insensitive to their tenant's privacy sometimes need a little help to be on their way. If I were you, I would make sure the apartment is in top notch shape, clean, nice smelling. Maybe it would benefit you to have a "sick" friend over who you could be taking care of. But don't be afraid to assert your rights as a tenant. Your landlord doesn't have a search warrant and can't be expected to have access to your closets. Make sure you know in advance what they are there for: is it to see that you are taking good care of the place, in general, or to make sure your closets are in good shape? If your grow room is in a closet, I see no reason to have to take it down. Play it by ear. If you pay your rent on time and have a generally good relationship with the Landlord then he/she should be out in no time. Good luck. |

word.. great response growyerown.. i would do exactly what he said whitie. Make sure the place has nothing to bitch about or to look twice at. but dont just let the land lord go snooping around. You have rights as a tenant

I don't know if that answered yourquestion, but at least you know how to prepare for an inspection now. PLants can revert back to teh vegatative stage if more light hours are added so I would not worry about it to much. If you can put them under a flourescent somewhere I would. A couple of hours at that young an age though. Let him inspect and put them back under should have no problems.

Hey Whitie,
So tell us how your apartment inspection went. I have a house inspection coming up myself, and am curious to hear about your experience. I am by no means an expert in MJ cultivation, but I do have quite a bit of experience, on both sides, in Landlord/Tenant relations. Certainly, it behooves you to heed Motorheed's advice to maintain a good relationship with you Landlord. Yes, they can be a pain in the ass if they really want to be, and a part of them will always look paternally down on a tenant. And, in my experience, they tend to not honor their legally implied agreement as a landlord and, on the other hand, expect you to fulfill more than your legal obligations as a tenant. (Something a Landlord won't tell you is that a rental agreement tends to highlight a tenant's legal obligations while glossing over the Landlord's legal obligations. It makes sense, though, as a Landlord, like a COP, would never want to give you any ammunition to use in YOUR defense or, even worse, against them. Some things in your contract are probably not even legal, but most tenants will never know any better, as they don't want to end up in court, in trouble. Get a copy of the Landlord/Tenant law in your locale and READ it. You won't regret it.) Just remember that your landlord is a businessman/woman and that their primary motivation in renting to you is to make as much hassle-free cash as possible. Provide them with their hassle-free cash and give them the peace of mind that their property is in good, safe hands with you as their tenant and you will be golden. But don't roll over on a landlord who is a bully. Remember that, while legally it is their property, you are legally/contractually in control of the premises until a court says otherwise. A landlord is not a judge, jury, or police officer and, in most locales, has fewer rights than the tenant does. So, be a good tenant. Pay your rent ON TIME or a day early. Take care of his/her property like it is your own. Clean out the gutters. Mow the lawn. Plant flowers. Don't be a pest. Fix little things if you can. Tell your landlord how nice his/her property looks. Act normal. Hehe. Grow your MJ in YOUR apartment, hassle-free, and smoke it if you like. -GYO |
