I have a 400MH that I no longer use, since getting my T5. You can get your plants really close without burning, the temps in the room are easier to control, I think I get more females (because of the cooler temps), and I have bushy plants with little stretching.

Yep that will work well. I too went from a 400MH to just using flourescents.

wow you guys replaced a 400W MH with it? Do you think I could flower sucessfully under it if I switched the spectrum of my bulbs to 3 2700k and 1 6400k? or all 2700k? Would I get results comparable to a 250w hps? or 400w hps? Thanks for the input
