Opinion wanted. Fluorescent flowering chamber?
Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here, and also my first time growing.
I currently am vegging one purple star plant (seeds purchased from a reputable bank) under a t5 fluorscent light. It appears to be relatively healthy under the t5 so far, and i really like it cause it stays nice and cool, its cost and space efficient, and most importantly, cause they easily connect with one another to run in unison. (sp?) I realize it would not be a good idea to flower under a single t5, but i dont want to invest in a hps setup. While shopping around yesterday i found a nice sized plastic cabinet (dont remember the exact dimensions) but it was perfectly sized for a flowering chamber, especially since it had a lock, and it was only $50! So my plan is to purchase about 5 more t5 lights, and set them up in the chamber. Will this produce a nice yield? or should i do ahead and invest in a hps? In the end its going to cost around the same... all positive comments are much appreciated! ![]() |
