Smallest grow that would produce a harvest??

I'm doing an outdoor grow this summer for the first time. I've never grown any plants before so I would like to get some experience in harvesting and such before doing the main course this fall.

I live at home with my parents, so indoor growing would be really hard. However a very small grow would be possible for me.

I'm not looking for any weight, although I do want to harvest something at the end so I can check and see how curing and all that works first hand. If I got a bowl pack to smoke then I'd be happy. Just wanna try it out, ya know?

So anybody have any ideas of small grow containers I could use? Also, since it's going to be such a small plant would it take less time? Do I just veg the plant until it's to my desired size and then force it into flowering by changing the lighting to 12/12? How long should I expect for the total process?

I have a lot of bagseeds that I saved up for my outdoor grow and wouldn't mind using a couple to experiment with indoors so I can know what to expect over the course of the summer with my outdoor grow. I'm basically just looking for the experience. I know that it will most likely be a waste of time for the amount that I'll get from it, but I don't really care about that. As long as I learn some things about growing I'll be happy, and what better way to learn that to try it out??

Right now I'm just looking for any ideas on containers or lights or anything like that.

well i have some suggestions from my personal first and only plant grow. it was fairly small, under a foot, it turned up being juicy fruit. i was happy. but uh, are you planning on growing outside or inside?

Under a foot, huh? How far around was it, and what did you end up with for a yield?

actually there was two shoots that went up like a peace sign.

growing indoors is way harsh. i can understand you wanting to start a test plant, but how far into spring are we now? think about it. its better to start the one you want sooner. just tossing that out there. ask away if needed. glad to help.

I have one of my outdoors started, along with about 10 seeds germinating right now. I only want to do one or two plants indoors, while the others are starting out. I figure sine the plants will be done a lot faster if they're small indoor plants I can harvest them and such a lot quicker than my outdoor plants that won't be finished until October.

Do you have any ideas for a good container I could use to grow in? I'm just going to use a small cup to grow the plant in. How much room should I plan on having around? Definitely gotta keep things small since I live with the parents.

well, just becuase their inside doesnt mean they'll grow any faster..
if they lack the right lights, they'll lack sugars, which sucks.

idk, it sounds like you've got it in a good container for the mean time, but you might want to get a pot that soaks in water and all that. the size of the growing container basicly determines the plants size. not all the time as iv seen, but thats other shit.
