flowering question

where the nodes split off of the stem like this \|/ and in the pit areatof there is where sex differentiation occurs.

that being said, mine have been on 12/12 for a week now and in the pit area all i am getting are more leaves, is this normal? because im checking the whole plant but no sex is popping out.

Yes this is normal.
Think of it in two ways, some people start 12/12 from start, so of course it isnt going to show sex until its mature, which could take a couple months or more from the start of the light cycle.
Also, assuming you veg'd the proper amount of time, switching to 12/12 it may still take anywhere from 1 week to a month or more to show.
All depends on time spent under which cycle, setup and genetics.
Be patient, and good luck on a F!
