Is my lighting sufficient?

I know these questions usually kinda suck, but I really need help.

Well, I plan to grow inside of an old refrigerator, the actual grow space being approx. 1.5' x 1.25' x 2', going W x D x H. I want to grow only one plant at a time, and have no money for lighting.

What I DO have, are 5 of those 13-14watt CFLs, (The box says 825 lumens)and I have devised a way to set them up without them being intrusive to the grow space. (The fridge is much larger than the dimensions listed, but I accounted for area that can't be used.)

Now, I know they're crappy and I intend to get higher wattage, but will 5 of them be enough for only one plant? It looks pretty bright.

Thanks for any word.

What is their K rating?
Are you planning on using feminized?
What are you going to do for ventilation?

Well, I did look for the K rating before posting, but couldn't find it anywhere, not on the bulbs or the box.

For seed, I'm just going to use some good bagseed. I have plenty of time, so if I end up with a male when I start flowering, I guess I'll just start over.

For ventilation I figured I'd set up a fan and open the door for a couple hours each day and have the fan on them. There's almost alyways somebody at home who could take care of it.

Right on, do the bulbs give off a blue/white or red/orange light?

If your going to do bagseed, youll have room to veg at least 2 plants to better your chances for a female (maybe more if you learn different grow techniques).

Ventilation will be a must, they will eat up the co2 in such a small place fairly quickly if the door is closed.

Well, the lights give off pretty much absolute white light closer to blue than orange or red for sure.

And yes, I probably could start more than one plant at first. It sounds like a better idea.

Not sure how to solve the ventilation problem though, I can't really go drilling holes in this thing.

Yea, this is a common problem with fridges. Well sounds like your well on your way.
I would definitely start a few to better your chances.
Know what type of soil your going to use?

For soil, I was going to take soil from our outdoor vegetable garden and mix about 4:1 with some cow manure.

Hm, and for the CO2 problem, there's an area below where the plant would be, and I could fit like 2 ice cream pales under there. Could I use baking soda and vinegar to increase the CO2 levels? I have read about that before....

Right on, id be careful with outdoor soil.

I personally have never used the co2 mixture everyone talks about, but cant hurt to try it. Ive heard it stinks a bit, but cant quote me on that.

No problem, Sounds good, if you have any questions you can post pics of your setup here and we can give you more feedback, easier to see than to read sometimes. Good luck.
