My 2nd Attempt, watch them grow! (need a little help)
Oh guys i don't know if you remember or not but my last attempt didn't go so well here are some pics,
![]() This is how they started off ![]() This is how they ended after i got in a car accident and i couldn't water them in time. 2ND ATTEMPT! ![]() here is how they are growing now. ![]() They are looking a lot better now. ![]() I can even see some tops coming in now. Okay so now that I see some tops coming in I think I am entering the bloom part of the hesi growth schedule ( SEE HERE ) Starting tomorrow I am going to change my light to 12/12 and some other questions i have is when should I start using this 600w blub ( SEE HERE) Here is what I am using right now (SEE HERE) The guy who works at texas hydroponic said i should start to use it when i start to see the bud growing. Should I start tomorrow also or should I wait till i start using the bloom complex? (the blue line on the hesi schedule). Right now they are about 13- 16 inches away is that to close should i make it 18 inches?? How much when I switch to the 600w blub?? Thanks for the help guys. I have more questions but can't remember right now. Last edited by iholdspam; 05-02-2008 at 07:35 PM. |

Plants look good! I've never seen a light like you're using now. Is it just a flourescent tube?? You can start using the HPS whenever you want. I would use both until you start flowering. I don't see any signs of flowering or anything, if thats what you mean by 'tops'. HPS isn't the greatest light spectrum for veg, but it will still help out alot. If its a flourescent tube....you can keep it about an inch or 2 away from the tops to get the most out of the light. 600 watts for 2 small plants?? Seems a little overkill, but thats not neccesarily a bad thing. You can probably switch the nutes when you change the light schedule to 12/12 and get the HPS set up. Just remember they still need more N in the beginning of flower. You should probably keep the HPS about 18-24" away from them, shouldn't be hard to tell if they are too hot.
GL!

Hopefully that helps. BTW with the hesi system you can pick and choose which one you want. |

My plants look a lot like your third picture right now (leaves curling in on the edges). I'm kind of worried about them, especially since mine are worse than yours, but it's DEFINITELY not heat stress, since I have a 400w HPS at least 3 feet above them. Does anybody know what that's due to?

I think it is under watering cause the day i took the pics i noticed the soil was very dry. I have been checking the water lvl more and keeping it more wetter. I was told that letting the soil dry out is good cause it helps the roots grow but at this point I dont think i should be doing that right??
