First grow, First post =)

First off, hello guys. Ive been reading this site for a few months now, and i couldnt find the answer to my question, so here it goes.
Alright, my buddy has been growing one plant (bubba kush)
It showed its first preflowers about one and a half weeks to two weeks ago.
I thought it was female, but ive checked these two past days and i can see where the male pollen sacks are starting to develop. Now i''ve read here that people like to pick off the seeds. (which i think will j stress the plant out even more)
To the question: if i leave the seeds on there, and the plant pollinates itself, will it continue to produce bud alongside the seeds? Or will the bud production cease, and just focus on growing seeds?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Correct me if I'm wrong but...

If its a 100% male, than it will just grow balls/pollen sacks
If its a hermie, male and female parts (visible) than it will bud, it won't be grown to full potential and will have seeds, but still smokable, and if you have 1 plant than its worth keeping it around. From what I understand...the seeds that can be potentially harvested from seeded bud of a hermie (self-pollinated) will produce female seeds...with a high(er) tendency to stress out an hermie.

Its not 100% male. its has budsites already filling in, and yesterday i noticed some seeds starting to grow in at the nodes. I dont mind the seeds, because well, they can be used for a second grow with more than one plant (which was kinda my hope, for it to go hermie and have free seeds for me). I just read somewhere on here people talking about once the herm pollinates itself the existing budsites will STOP producing bud and focus all the effort on growing seeds. Am i wrong?

Um....yes and no....

I think (technically) the buds will continue to grow, but alot of the energy that would be spent on producing resin goes to producing seeds. This is not to say that it won't bud fine, it will be less resinous and probably somewhat less potent. AKA mids not KB (kind bud) whatever you call it around there.
