Keep Males kickin? Thoughts on topic plz :D

I know this will sound like a bunch of gibberish, but just follow me here.... AND if I say something wrong factually please correct my erronious off the top of my head thoughts (but in a nice manner would be appreciated).

Say you grew ABC from seeds and you get X number of males and Y number of females. Among those X number of males you find one that is especially fast at growing or whatever special super power trait it has. You think to yourself "Hm... this may be interesting to cross this with strain Z." The male you wanna keep... Is there any way to keep it around w/o having to worry about pollinating or giving off pollen. Like is there any way to keep it in a perpetual dormant state with no way to give off mature pollen? I.e. snip its balls!!!!! DIE BALLS xD

I know we all are in it for the sexy sexy ladies (I know I am), but for cross breeding and such things as that is there any options for what I am suggesting? I know the "safest" option is separating the ladies and rowdy rowdy boys in different locations or taking pollen samples (good for max 18 months) and refrigerating them. For some this may be an option, but for others its not... a big big NOT. I know its possible to hermi plants through stress but doesn't that also have to deal with strain stability as well? I'm just thinking out loud here....so if I could hermi a female plant from a stable strain some how w/o outside chemicals then keeping male plants aren't necessary AND it would create Feminized Seeds correct?

Since I'm on the topic why are fakin feminized seeds so damn expensive? I mean they only make females unless you really stress the crap out of them or its a new strain not fully stabilized. I guess its just market crap since you don't have to worry about all the "is it a boy? is it a girl? clone dem biotches" fun. Anywho thats my 7 o'clock rant. Lets here some replies ppl. Outtie.

I don't know if I understand what your tyin to do... ummm.. so your thinking about crossing it with a female? Your not going to be able to cross it unless you let the male plant pollenate the female....

i think you misunderstood his question, if you want to keep the male to get pollen but do not want it to pollinate your females, a seperate grow room on 12/12 would probably be necessary or you could pop it in a clone/mother veg room if you just want to keep the male growing for however long.

as for feminized seeds, i hear the best way to do it is let a female go about a week or two past optimal harvest date and it will turn hermi in order to keep its strain alive. you'll want to isolate the plant and take the pollen from the male pollen sacks shootin out the bud.

when this pollen is put on a bud from another female it will produce all female seeds without too much worry of the new feminized plants going hermi.
*this is not from personal experience but from my research so hopefully a more advanced member cancorrect me if i am wrong on any of that

just clip a few branches from the male that are already covered in pollen sacks and put them in a zip bag and pollinate one or two of the lowest buds on your female then those seeds will be crossbreed the best they can

Montaz18 thx for the input and all the others for the other suggestions.

The 12/12 sealed grow room with a good negative pressure would be pretty easy to construct, but optimally having them in seperate locations would be best. I"ll do some more pokin around to see about making feminized seeds. I see it as more as planning for the future and even though its faster to grow from clones, having some Fem. seeds as back up couldn't hurt ;D I.e. once every so often make a "back up" of a strain by makin feminized seeds. I'm not advocating being less careful with a wonderful lady, but its nice to know that if you had to do a quick "trash and dash" that your special lady would live on. Then again, a person could just give another person a clone to take care of. Again thanks all for the input, its just a topic that interests me and not for monetary reasons.
