I Need a Good Commerical Strain...

What are some of the best commercial strains? The characteristics I'm looking for are as follows:

1. YIELD - obviously important, the more the better

2. Potency - needs to be strong (15-25 % thc) but maybe not g13 strong (28%) because I don't know if the average buyer can handle that type of high, you tell me!

3. FLOWERING TIME - 6-8 weeks tops

4. Type of High - has to be strong, but mix of head and body is probably the best, maybe slightly more indica than sativa..

5. Bag Appeal/scent/taste - The better looking the buds, the more people will pay for them.


Ok so to me yield, potency, and a short flowering period is whats most important for commericial purposes.

What strains would you guys recommend that i grow?

I am considering g-13, grand daddy purple, and some others but i want your input!!! thanks!!!

Power plant, grows fast, shows sex a week after seting the lights at 12/12, and quantity, and quality is excellent. big producer!

thanks man, that power plant looks promising. Do you know how much sativa it is? And is the yield/quality comparable to that of the best strains? around my parts an 0 of the best stuff goes for 560. thats the kind of quality i'm looking for. But with high yield and a quick flowering period.

Well, I'd personally go with Skunk #1 if you want to go commercial. High yields, potent, high calyx-to-leaf ratio, but it's sativa dominant (75% sativa, 25% indica) so a little longer flowering time.

Really, there are a lot of commercial strains--just look for what you want in the strain...

dont say u r goin 2 sell them u gonna get banned or something...but if i was gonna grow a lot for my own use i would use skunk because g-13 and grand daddy seem like they would be more advanced plants to grow but good look with your grow

I"ve see a good many posts saying that the "Big Bud" strain was one of the best growing/producing plants for a commercial strain.Never grew it myself so i cant vouch for it.

Yeld is unsurpassed, i grew it a few times this past year and i grow indoors, i tied the plants down and got an average of 1/4 lbs per plant, out doors theres no limit. Its an extremly healthy plant also, with stands a ton of abuse.

Not sure of the percentage sativa, the high is awesome, i put it right up there as one of the top strain i've had the pleasure of smoking.

Where i live an o of good herb goes for 250 to 350 an o, but since i grow i havent purchased in around 2 years.

Can't go wrong with big-bud.
I think you may have some THC percentages mixed up.
G-13 can run the gambit between 8 and 18 %
Highest official THC is 23.5% by White Russian (White Window x AK-47)
THC is more about grow conditions than actual strain, although genetics does matter a lot.(UNARGUABLE)!
Ugh, don't get me started on all the misconceptions of G-13.
Clone-only?(perhaps)
Government-developed? (NOPE NOPE NOPE!)
Whatever a dealer calls good headies he gets? (probably)
Anywho, I'd recommend Big Bud, White Widow, AK-47, or any other commercial indica for you, less finicky than sativas and big dense(or loose depending on light) heavy sparkling nuggs if grown right.
And any of those names will command a high "commercial value"(I in no way endorse you selling them, of course), with the exception being big bud.

thanks for the help guys, im thinking masterkush x skunk#1 by mr. nice now. Supposedly yeilds very high and has great bag appeal/quick flowering indica dominant. Its either that, medicine man, shark shock, critical mass, or g13 skunk. All heavy yielders that look good, and are potent.

anyone have a grow journal, pics, or info on the mastkush or any of the above strains? thanks!
