stretching in flowering

i have been flowering for 8 days now, and overnite my plants stretched outlike crazy!!!im using a bunch o 2700k cfls and they were about 2-3 inches away, and i checked in da mornin after they woke up and the lights were almost touching!!! They grew a few inches overnite and theres leaves got huge! I dunt want them to stretch too much i want them to be very strong short and bushy... the strains are bm(indica dominant) and ice indica/sativa mix..maybe a few are showing they are sativas?

Is this normal i kno plants double/triple their height in flowering but is there anyway to stop the streching so much?? Myabe i shoud throw some 6500k bulbs in??

Will post some pics later dun have time rite now

Yes normal.Once you switch you lights to 12/12 the stretch is on.Some strains can double evn triple there size before maturity. Also you might wanna try and lower the temps a little(10 to 15 degrees) in flowering stage.

I doubt it.Right.blue spectrum in vegg will help keep them more shorter and bushy but i dont think it will have any effects with the stretch in flower. But hey, If ya gottum/useum.
