because hash is a collection of the trichomes from female flowers, you wont be able to make any hash from a male plant. you can however cook the leaves/tops in butter to extract the THC. you can then use the butter in cooking or save it for later.

drying wouldn't be necessary, but it would make things easier when preparing the butter. id suggest drying everything you plan to put into the butter, then grinding it all up in a blender before cooking in the butter.

i have a friend who takes his males, dries out the entire thing, puts it into a grinder and mixes what he gets with tea. but his males are alot smaller because he exterminates them as soon as he recognizes theyre male. weed tea?

I was reading a study that a young male has more THC then a female at the same stage and a Male as it gets older loses THC while a female gains THC the older she gets. Since your plant is a Great Grandfather the THC levels are probably severely limited.
