Help! Purple Cindy grow...

I need help fast with nutrient deficiency (i think).

8 purple cindy plants about 5" tall, 4 weeks old.

Temp: 72 - 82
RH: 20% - 40%
Lighting: Daylight CFLs
Soil: MG Organic choice potting mix, 35% perlite
Ph: 6.3 - it is estimated off distilled water of 7ph.
Small fan

Plants will go to 400w MH and HPS soon

I need a lot of help with these babies. I have been having problems since day 1 with various things. First the plants have been very inconsistent. One plant will show one thing and another plant may show the opposite, even though they are all under the same conditions.

Now my problem is that my leaves keep browning at the tip on my healthy plants which are mostly big and green. I have 1 plant now that had about all of its leaves brown and dry out and i crumbled the leaves off the plant. The plant is down to just about the stem only with NO fan leaves. While most of my plants are big and green with many fan leaves, there is one more plant thats leaves are starting to be drying out/browning.

I feed with 5-1-1 fish emulsion regulary and have been upgrading the amount slowly. I dont think there has been signs of overnute at all but i have no idea anymore, ive seemed to try everything. I added some light MG plant food recently of 15-30-15 to maybe give it a boost on K and P (if needed), but it has seemd to show or help.

My big healthy plants are good for the most part, but i am now seeing browning tips even on these plants. 1 or 2 of them also seem to have yellow leaves at the bottom, and i dont know what this is either, because i thought i gave them plenty of nitrogen from the fish emulsion.

Ive seemed to try everything, but the problems still look like nute deficieny and heat stress at the same time, but there is no heat stress, and i cannot find the source of the problem.

Any help is very appreciated!

Sounds like fert burn and your pH is a tad low @ 6.3. Get your pH up to 6.8 and use no nutes until the problem is over.

Temps 72-82, I like to keep my room below 80F, 75 and below is what I am for.

You say your PH is an estimated 6.3. What do you mean estimated? I'm assuming you're not using test strips or a meter? If not you want to know the exact PH reading. LIke CaliGrower said aim for 6.8.

"Small Fan" - Depending on what the dimensions are for your grow room just make sure there is plenty of air movement with good intake and exhaust.

I am assuming these are from seed? It sounds like you have nute burn like CG mentioned. When did you start feeding them the fish emulsion? Doesn't MG Organic soil have ferts added to them? What's regularly(fish emulsion)? Every watering, every other watering? You said you added some MG 15-30-15 to boost phosphorus and potassium but you also added a hell of a lot of nitrogen to the existing fish emulsion probably adding to the nute burn. You might want to flush the soil with good water and hold off on any nutes. In my experience plants will come back from nute burn but it might take a while.

Good luck on the grow man.

I first fed them at about 2.5 weeks, and ive feed them many times, almost every watering with 1/4 strength and gradually stronger with fish emulsion 5-1-1.

Im not sure, it may be over fert like you guys say but if i flush out all the plants should they recover and be fine? is there any chance this is an underfert??? i was sure it had to do with N p or k and not any micro or minor nutrients because those are far less common...

Like I said the green plants with many fan leaves that appear healthy are having some brown tips, but then sometimes yellowing on lower leaves like nitrogen deficiency.

I may just flush them all, and then re feed in a while with fish emulsion....and do i need another veg fert?

THanks in advance

No such thing as an underfert at their young age. Well, not in any strain I've grown anyway.

Test pH, and correct it.

Stop nuting them.

Flush them with 7.0 pH water.

If problems persist, I give up.

Ok i flushed all of the plants 8 purple cindys and 1 bagseed plant with distilled water yesterday at about 5 o clock. I plan on probably flushing/watering them again? next time they are drying out. When should i expect to feed them or what signs will show when they need feeding first. Will they all become back healthy and green if i stop feeding for now? (I really hope that it really is nute burn). Also can i use just fish emulsion 5-1-1 until flowering or do i need another fert. THanks
