Thermal imaging in helicopters

So i've been growin im my dorm room closet for a while, but today gave me a scare that made me move my plants to another location. i was lookin out the window and this police helicopter flies pretty low, about level with my dorm room (9th floor) right pass it about 200 yds away. then i see them make a circle, and i quickly hit the swiitch to my lights. they fly back towars my dorm building and then make another circle and fly away. my closet was pretty hot and i had about 8 26 watt cfls's and 4 23 watt tubes. do yall think they may have noticed the heat with their thermal thing on the helicopter and that's why they doubled back?

With FLIR the cops can see high wattage HID grow rooms somewhat; CFL's doubt it. However they need another reason to uphold a warrant because without a warrant, they can't use FLIR or use it as evidence unless they had OTHER probable cause. Now if they were flying by and in plain view they could look into your closet and see beautiful weed plants flourishing; probable cause sufficient. I would definately draw the blinds when bringing them out because plain view items inside the house are probable cause enough to get a warrant.

all i know was that was a police helicopter. my window was open and u could see my closet from outside my window. i know growin in a dorm is pretty dangerous, but it was just until they got bigger and the weather became more stable which it pretty much is. i was able to grow for about a month and a half now and my plants are somewhat big, so i think the risks were worth it. also it was startin to smell up my room, so i guess it was a good idea to move them out now. now i just got to find a shovel, some cow manure, and a place to plant these things

But can they see the plants from outside if they had binoculars?

Dude everyone in a dorm is abusing the shit outa some electricty , the whole dorm would be glowing. perhaps they were looking for someone on foot, or knew you were smoking in your room and just screwing with ya. but none the less is it the best idea to be growing in a dorm??

they couldn't see the plants at that time, but sometimes i do leave the window open and the closet door open to let out heat and get some fresh air in there. btw, i'm diggin the pic u got. i'm an ass man myself

Well draw the drapes then.
You don't want them to see them. Lights under a door ok but in plain view not ok.

man you are CRAZY .. growing in a dorm... props though .. if you pull it off.. i have had some dumb luck with weed and dorm rooms ended up getting kicked outa college... arrested... and lucky i got the laywer i did otherwise i would have went to jail.. be mad carefull.. if your outside already then way to go!!!

but yeah the helicopter was definitly NOT looking at your dorm with thermal imaging. in a dorm there are sooo many hot spot from electricity and CFL's will definitly not give off any indication of growing marijuana so dont stress out.

i was extra careful wit my grow. no one knew about it, i didn't even say i saw growin in a dorm here on GC until i moved them bitches outside. i'm just glad those plants are outside now tho, cuz every knock at the door had me freakin out. but i did find out i was being spied on thru the ceiling by the ppl who stayed in the room next to me, but i don't know if they saw the girls. that heli almost made me shit my plants. as soon as they flew away i was taking everything down, lights, mylar, etc as quickly as possible.
