Venting questions mostly

I am setting up my first grow. I have a few questions concerns? SO thanks in advance to all who reply.

The box will be 2'x3'x5' and powered with a 250w HPS (sound like enough light?). The ballast will be kept outside the box to reduce heat.

Cool tube w/ duct moving straight thru the box. What size duct should I use? And any ideas for exaust? I want to keep it as quiet as possible.

General venting will be powered by 4 pc fans...two intakes at bottom...two at top venting out a window.

I live in an college apt and plan on venting straight out the window...is the smell going to be an issue...I live on the second floor and windows to the adj apt are 15-20ft away?

Do I need any thing else besides timers? Any other suggestions?

Thanks

carbon filters eliminate the odour a great deal, if not completely, and require no outdoor ventilation

yes, the 250w hps in that grow area will result in 41w sq/ft and the 400w hps will result in 66w sq/ft. Since 50w sq/ft is generally accepted as the normal minimum lighting spec, Id go for the 400w. You will find that a lot of people have mixed opinions on this, and will probably get a different answer from others. For my grows, the target par is 75-100w sq/ft.

Hope this helps

Go with the 400W or if you wanna go a little smaller I recommend the 150 (way less heat and still a good light (most people under estimate it), Your box is going to be very simliar to mine, Look at my post to your reply in the other thread!

Good Luck
