I say with 24 hrs of light. I have tried darkness before and didnt work. but everytime i use a light it works. I always get 100% germination. Take a couple paper towels and fold them up into quarters then keep them damp at all times. Put in humidome if needed. I suggest the light though it gives me the best results.

I put mine in coco soaked coco discs this time. 5mm below the surface. They are already 6cm tall and the tap root has cleared the medium. This is after 5 days! I won't bother germinating again. This was done under 250w low energy cool light.

Seeds don't require light to germinate. Required conditions are correct temp., moisture and maybe a little pressure on the seed walls. If you get better results under light, all I can say is that your room isn't warm enough for a fast germination and the lamp provides that.

I've had 100% success in darkness from bagseed so far (6 paper towels, 1 straight soil)

Light or dark

Nature people, nature. Plant the seed in dirt, water it, and put it under a light, watch what happens!!!
