First time grower. Is this a hermie?

If it is, can I cut off the male parts and still get sinsimilla? How long do I have before it poisons the other girl?

Not an expert here, but it could be false seed pods. I would probably rip those off there if I were you though. I had a herm last grow, (I think from light leak) and it seeded my entire grow. I caught all the males in time and thought I was going to get sensimilla, pissed me off pretty good when I found seeds. Don't take my word for it though, see if any of the experts on here know before you do anything drastic. Good luck!

It's a hermie. If it's the only plant in your grow room or if they are all the same,you can remove the sack but, it will still self pollinate. It will have seeds in the buds. Still ccould turn out to be good smoke.

I have 2 plants, of different but unknown strains. Both were started from seeds about 3 years old. I think the room is light tight... I stood in it during high daylight and couldn't find any leaks.

I have pics of both girls. 1-3 is the non hermie (lovingly dubbed kya). 4-6 is the hermie (why couldn't jasmine be like her straight sister?). I'm sure they are different strains, but I think both are around a 60-40 or 70-30 sative-indica mix. Since this was my first grow, I was ecstatic to have two girls. Losing one would be heartbreaking.

The sacs appeared 2 days ago, how long do I have to make a decision?

Though the plant will self pollinate, can I stop it from polluting the other girl (via careful daily pruning), but keep it alive? I'd be happy to smoke it, but not at the expense of my other little lady.

They have been flowering for 15 days on 12/12 400w MH. Avg humidity: 30-45%. Avg temp: 75-80. Water with 2/3 concentration general hydroponics bloom mix every 4th day.

maybe you could take it outside? Its a real shame those plants look really sativa and would probably make some dope chronic.

I wish. I took me three years to build up the stones to try the closet grow. I do love those skinny little fingers though...

Tough call. If it were me I would probably snip the balls of the hermie, and hope for the best. Possibly seeded bud is better than no bud! They remind me of the first plant I ever grew (in the dormroom, had to chop her during early flower due to almost getting busted...I know, not smart...but thus began my passion of growing!) Lookin good though, next time plant more seeds so that in the end, choppin a hermie won't be so devastating to the overall finished product.

Has anyone experience with trimming a hermie? How likely will it pollinate my other girl if I trim every morning?

shit man you have just reached the exact same problem i have been having. i have a female in the same room with the one that is a hermy. right now i am just taking off the pods and trying to let the flowers mature just a little bit more before i chop it down but i dont really know how well that will work, since its my first grow as well.

How far along are yours? How big did your male parts get? I've been picking em off when I see them, and they look wayyy too undeveloped to have released any pollen. Can you continue this method over a long time, or will the bud clusters start growing over the pollen sacs so you cant see them?
