Induced to flowering at 6"

I was reading an old high times magazine (Feb. 2007) the other day and was reading the back sections where you can submit in questions and grow questions etc..and it had an article about how a plant was induced to flower at 6". I was VERY INTRIGUED when i saw this and yet i was unhappy to find that it didn't explain how. I was going to experiment with this just to see how it would turn out any advice?

-My thoughts on it-

Germinate seed, plant seedlings after a week switch lights from 24 to 20/4 or 18/6 then after a week of that shut down the lights for 24 hours and put them on 12/12? Then after a week of that shut them down for another 24 hours and put them back on 12/12 (denser buds/more thc from what i have learned). Please feel free to respond on this I probally am not going to end up doing this just really curious on how it was done so if anyone has done this or heard of this please let me know!

what do mean how was it done? you can induce flowering at any point in the plants life.
i have seen a few people on these boards flower plants straight from seed, they never go through a veg state. so again what are you talking about when you ask how it was done?

Like what affects will it have been inducing flowering so early?

small buds, low yield. search like i said before there's a few threads about flowering from seed. do some research.

what about SOG growers? they dont veg at all. right after the clone roots, it goes straight into flower. he question wasn't about getting a good yield or anything.
