another scrog question

Ok so now that im actualy doing the scrog grow im not understanding it. lol. The top of the plant just goes rite through the screen and theres nothing i can do about it, i cant pull it back through. So what? can i just cut it off? I allready counted enuff bud sites to fill out all my wholes but by they time they get to there new home the top cola would already be up to the lights? It just keeps making more leaves and branches when i already have enuff, Im stumped

huh? I thought the whole idea was for the top to not go through.
What happened when you tried to train it back under?

I haven't grown scrog yet, but from this pic it looks like anything that comes through you just train back under, you can see where stems have gone above the screen and then been bent under again:
