My Last Grow Head to Toe: Granddaddy Purple LST ORGANIC

I'm pretty new to GC I just became a member in December. For those who have not met me I would like to give you a tour of my little home operation. I have grown in many ways shapes and forms, Hydro, Soil Outdoors and Indoors but I discovered my calling in 2000 when I first was taught to LST. I learned I didn't need a shit load of plants or a lot of space to yield a Pound or slightly less. After I learned to LST I was pulling twice as much off of each plant as I did before. Like I said I have done hydroponics and I know its advantages but also know its faults. The first time I grew organically and tasted the smooth flavor and clean high I knew any product with my name affiliated would from then on be all organic. I lost a a lot of money and a few good partners with this decision but to me it is for the better, I now grow at home in a closet I use 400 watts MH for Veg and 400 watts HPS for flower. I use only Organic nutrients and apply LST to all of my plants.

This is a documentary of my last Project: Granddaddy Purple + Organics + LST

This is week 1

Week 2

Week 3

Week 4 Day 35 Flowers already !!!

Week 5 day 40

Week 6 day 47

Week 8 day 60

During the final 30 days I was out of town on vacation I gave my plants one more big feeding of Guano, Molasses and Seaweed Tea and let nature take its course for about 3 weeks then I flushed on week 12 when I got back. This the last pic I took before Harvest. Week 11 Day 85

Thank you for your Patience this was a short documentary of 3 Granddaddy Purple Plants grown Organically with LST under 400 Watts of light. Yield 7.5 OZ

Great grow! Do you have clones waiting in the wings? Was that dried, and trimmed weight?

Almost a half pound out of a small closet is great. I'm only growing in boxes so my yield will be much less.

I just remove the Tie downs around the last week when I remove all the dead foliage a few days before harvest.

Thanks! I usually don't clone, I have a buddy who clones all of the strains we grow so When I need them I give him a call. But right now I am experimenting with a strain I have never grown before called Purple Princess the link is in my sig check it out.
And yeah that was the dry weight of the yeild when wet it was about 8.5 oz.

I like the format of your grow journal. I was contemplating whether to just post everything at the end like you did here. Sweet grow man and keep up the good work. You are representing us California green thumbs just fine .

completely agree. no offense to all you potential grow journalists out there, but after seeing a couple of grow thread, it's just a buzzkill to see a grow thread with a subject like this:

"***OMGWTF*** ELITE BEST GROW EVER *** CHECK MY BABIES OUT!!!!@!#!!!!"

and all you see is 4 inch plants that are barely started.

hashmouf, i'm curious as to how you experienced such quick growth?

I'm only on my third crop ever, but have a rather sound knowledge of what i'm doing.

Right now, we're using soil (FFOF/Promix mixture), organic veg nutes, distilled water, and have them under 400w HPS Hortilux along with 320w of CFL's. Temp range goes from about 65-70 dark to 78-82 lit... small oscillating fan blowing constantly and room is aprox 7'x4' lined w/ mylar.

In a past grow, we've used LST, but in that case it only involved one tie down to bend the plant a bit to the side... this time around, i've followed the advice in the LST sticky and have continued tying the plant horizontally in a circular direction around the bucket.

Everything looks great so far, and they are extremely healthy, but we arent experiencing nearly as quick of growth as what your's clearly have... i know there are a lot of variables, but do you have any tips that could increase the speed of the secondary growth??

What's your feeding schedule/nutes look like? Did you use any microbe soil innoculations?

[edit]: from Purple Princess thread:
