hey guys bout a 10 dollar timer from lowes, it was the best one they had, the others were like 4$ and 7$ its says heavy duty 15 amps etc...

anyway i was using it for the 400 watt and it was working great, i decided to take that 400 watt out, and plug a power strip in to the timer, that way anything that was plugged into the power strip would be on that time, aka so then i added 300 more watts of light.

700 watts of light on a power strip ---> power strip plugged into timer....

this ok?

Should be. Most standard power strips are rated at 1500 watts max load. I try and keep them loaded no higher than 1100 if possible.

I think he means will the timer be alright, and if it could handle 400 fine 300 more shouldn't be to much more of a load.

I run My 400 watt, fans and Air purifier and multiple timers on one power strip, So you should be fine.

My bad if I was not clear enough, that all is plugged into a Heavy duty rated Timer.

i ahve the same timer and about 350 watts going threw it....then into another power strip that has tvs and video games in it..haha need to change that asap
