Well, had my first harvest about 4 days ago and I just put the nugs into a jar yesterday. Before harvesting, the plant smelt wicked heady... like... "fruity" chron smell, and at the moment it well... doesnt. So when can I expect that smell to return to the buds? At the moment there's barely any hint of it.

Wait, did you dry the buds first or did you just stick them in jars? Sorry if this is a stupid question but you said you just harvested 4 days ago and stuck them in jars. Maybe you dried them in only 4 days? The longer you cure, the better it gets. Make sure you have them in air tight jars in a cool, dark place. Open the jar for about 10min at a time about 4-5 times a day for the first week or so, then after that you just need to open it a few minutes a day for a few more days, then you can store them in the jar. When you dry them, the outside dries first. Curing makes them dry evenly. Moisture in the middle comes to the outside. Thats why you have to open the jars a few times a day to let the moisture out of the jar and replace with fresh air. This dries the bud evenly. I like my buds to fill kinda spongy. Not crispy. When you squeeze the bud it give a little and kinda raises back up. Sorry, i cant explain it better than that but if youve ever got a good nug and its feels like that you know what im talking about.

it was a quick dry because the nugs were really fluffy and airy. plus it was a small plant so its only about 7g's.

Ahh, ok. So the stem snapped, it didnt bend right? Im sure you did that right. But do as i said for curing and it should come back in a few days. Got any pics?

the first time i dryed my buds they were tied to a hanger and 9.5g out of like 30.0g fell in my closet the other stuff dried for like 5 days before cure and no smell the stuff i found 12 days after i hung it in the bottom of my closet......the smelliest stuff ive grown! the trick is to hang em and let them dry slowly the bud looke totally different. hope i helped.

Can you rephrase all of that. Im not sure what you are saying. Are you trying to say that bud that fell didnt have a smell, but the bud that remained hangind did smell? Im not saying you are wrong, i just dont know how to read that sentence. Can you rephrase...i think what you are saying is to be sure to hang your buds to dry, right?
