well the only reason I want to switch cycles is to clone my babies. I have 5 bag seeds sprouts going "1 week" and I want to keep clones of my females.
I guess I will just clone 2 each and mark them and mark the "mothers" and the clones so I know who is who. Thanks |

It will only set you back however long it takes to show sex. Could be a few days, could be weeks. The best thing to do is take a cutting or two from each plant and flower the cutting. And to whoever said theres no point in doing that, well there is. This way you can get rid of the males sooner so you dont have to put time and most of all nutrients (money) into growing them.

Thanks you all for helping, corey is right. I dont wanna waste time and money on this with not knowing. Taliadog has a great idea, I like clone em and flower the clones. I am going to do that. That way I can keep em veggin and if they are ladies, I am one step ahead. Plus if it is a female, I wanna try to go str8 to 12/12 and see. Never tried so. I win both ways. Thanks a bunch guys |

I've got a question if you guys are still on..
That sounds like an awesome idea, flower the cuttings so you can get rid of the males sooner. But how "established" to you have to get the cutting before you flower it? ..I mean can you just take the cutting and flower it without waiting for it to grow roots, or do you have to root it first, then flower it?? thanks!!

That is a good question. You probably need to get some roots going cause it may take up to 2 or 3 weeks for the cutting to show signs of sex and without roots i dotn think it will last that long. It may though if you keep it in rockwool or oasis or something like that and keep it moist and mist the leaves. Its necassary to mist it because it doesnt have roots yet to take up water,s o you have to provide it. I guess you could probably get away with just moving it to 12/12 without roots as long as you can keep it alive long enough to flower.
