ive ben looking for a 3 foot T5 strip light so i can do some shelf growin, but all i can find is a T8 fixture will that work http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=2754545? possible to make decent buds with this?

T8 are like the bulbs above your head all day if you work in any office environment.

T5 are WAY thinner in diameter, higher in wattage, Higher in intensity.

besides, lights require Ballasts, ballast are designed for certian bulbs, ergo,it is doubtable that a t8 ballast will power a t5 bulb.
