A11 and Cindy are compact relative to most sativas but it would be a handfull confining them to that space. Not saying it couldn't be done but it would require a lot of attention and probably zero veg time. If you aren't against a couch-lock stone, then most indica-dominant strains would be okay. NL stays pretty compact, Hashberry and Speed Queen from Mandala both stay short, Hindu Kush and Afghani, the list goes on and on. If you are looking for a little more energetic buzz then Speed Queen harvested at 55 days would do the trick.

Absolutely, I've tried it and it is one of my favorite strains. It stays very short and chunky and as with all of Mandala's gear it is very hardy and n00b resistant. I grew it in a space that had a little less than 3 feet vertically and had room to spare. Yield is good and the buds gets very very frosty. You may want to do a search in the grow journals, can't remember who but someone had a Speed Queen grow which definitely highlights the toughness and yield. OK found the journal http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-jour...et-up-yet.html

i don't have any personal experience with northern lights #5, but it is a basic building block in many award winning strains and also has a rep as a great cash cropping strain and noob friendly.
everything i've read about C99 says it's pretty nice yielding if not the highest yielding in the world, but ANY strain that smokes like a true sativa yet is really doable indoors is tits with me. i'd have to get back to you on actual size after i do my C99 splash grow. i'll be able to compare it with alot of strains as i'll be doing over a dozen. speed queen is reputed to be one of the smallest strains as mentioned, but i can't remember anything more to add to that. i'd have to look it up in my cannabibles again to give you more info on that.

I did a cheap NL (Nirvana) so not sure it this is typical but I found it to be a great yielder but stinkier and stretchier than I expected. It can still be kept small but would definitely take more work than the Hashberry or Speed Queen. Potency was decent but nothing great. NL is a hardy strain but not quite as hardy as SQ or HB. I have a few pics of the NL in my gallery. So as far as yield NL is hard to beat but otherwise I think SQ or HB would suit your needs a little better. NL |

well, here's the unofficial thread for my grow so far, but i'll definately create a grow specific thread when i get my lights up and running.
http://forum.grasscity.com/general-i...rs-please.html i have all of the seeds, flower pots and most of the soild i'll be needing and just need to get lights, build a frame for them, get a fan and build a carbon scrubber. i need to save up a couple more weeks as i've decided to go all out and buy a $$$ vortex fan instead of cheaping out and doing that wrong. more than anything, i can't wait to get to the SMOKE REPORT part of the grow. that's the one almost EVERYONE cheeses out on and is the most important one to me. it'll be nice to be able to compare all of those strains side by side too with the knowledge they all were grown under the same conditions. C99 really does sound freakin' awesome doesn't it? i got kicked out of overgrow after fighting with one two many trolls who got tired of me constantly trying to get smoke report details while window shopping until i found info on C99. i tell you, getting detailed smoke reports there was like pulling teeth even with strains that were just bought or harvested. "man this shit is dank!" just doesn't cut it with me because most people think indicas aren't actually the abominations i think they are. i wasn't going to settle on skunky super silver haze or jack herer both of which have some couchlock no matter how many people tried to convince me otherwise. i'd tried to get quality reports on burmese, hawaiian sativa, destroyer etc. a long time before falling in love with cindy even if i've never met her yet. i THOUGHT i'd like skunk #1 when i had a connection with that for a minute because i knew it was 75% sativa, but even that was too couchlocking for my tastes. it might have been due to the grower selecting for the most indica phenos and/or harvesting it late, but it was total schwag to me. couchlock is hideous and unforgivable to me. stay tuned for the grow. i'll be covering it in great detail from sprouting through smoke reporting. NOTHING is as helpful as reports that directly compare strains against each other.

and yeah "man this is dank" does become tiring after a while. More details..talk about the flavor, the high from the start to the peak to the end, and tons of other things like the stickyness...we have 5 senses for a reason. Its either laziness or lack of vocabulary..i dont know. but your comparison of strains definately sounds like it will be interesting, so im definately tuned in waiting for your official grow thread link. ![]() |

Thanks man. In fact I did grow out a 3 or 4 NL5xBB but they all turned out males. I did use them to make some seeds with a Cindy99 female. I grew a couple of the C99x(NLxBB) seeds I made and it was good stuff. As far as them staying short, unfortunately that wasn't true at all at least with the males. They all actually leaned pretty heavily to the sativa side. It was quite a bit of work with heavy LST and some topping to keep them from overgrowing my space.
