The issue here is that Highgrade is exporting to the USA, that is exactly where Emery got tangled up. Seedbanks that sell in legal ways within Canada are conducting legal business, but exporting seeds to the US is illegal under US law. The Canadian gov't wasn't after Emery, but USA LEO leaned heavily on Canadian LEO that resulted in a joint sting operation. From what I hear it was essentially a US operation with a Canadian escort. And that's how all the customer records ended up in the hands of USA law enforcement.

I'm not aware of other Canadian seedbanks that are as forefront as Highgrade seems to be that they sell seeds to the USA. I would just be nervous that they will be a target one day, who knows when.

To be fair, I am not aware of anyone who ever bought seeds from Emery getting into trouble because of being on one of those confiscated customer lists -- then again, I wouldn't necessarily have heard about it in any event. It just would make me nervous.

If there is no crime in Canada (and there isn't for selling seeds) then you cannot extradite someone if the crime is not common to BOTH countries.
