Yellow Tips and Spots Whats Happening? Pics!

about 14 days old now, ive given my plants nothing but water (about 5-6oz per day) and general purpose potting soil. i have foxfarms growbig, but don't plant to use that until about next week. my problem is that my plant has developed yellow around the edges. another one that i have is beginning to turn light green around its edges. the first pic you can see the yellowing at the tip and in the second its around the edges of the leaves. in the 3rd pic with the second plant you can see the color difference from center to outer leaf. also this second plant is very droopy. is 5-6oz of water per day overdoing it? the closet has a fan it in with 6x27w 24/7 daylight CFL's and my water PH is about 6.5-7. my lights are about an inch away from the plants, they shouldn't be burning though, i touch them with the back of my hand with no discomfort.

Whats happening here? is it too much water? shouldnt be nute burn, i used general purpose potting mix w/ no ferts... are they thirsty for nutes? help!

first thing you should do is raise that humidity i bet if u check it its way below 40% humidity
look at ur leaves see hoe they're "canoeing" or curling up that means low humidity
and if this doesnt fix add a small amount of epsom salt to it might be magnesium epsom salt will give it that spurt it needs guarentee
p.s small amount maybe a 1/4 of recommended read the instructions on back dont over furt or youll have bigger fish to fry

about 1.8 high for any strain

So should i maybe do a foilar watering each day when i give them water? they are definatly canoeing as you said, some of the leaves look kinda wacked and curly, not dead, just wacky looking.

ill try a 1/4 dose on one of the plants tomorrow see how it goes.

isnt PH for soil supposed to be 6.8 ideally? i think only hydro is supposed to get as low as 5.x

PH level should be around 5.9 - 6.1 for optimal growth i believe.

My plants seem to be having the same problems as yours.. and i believe the reason is because of low humidity. My question is how can i raise the humidity? i have a humidifier in the cabinet, the cabinet is completely closed in with black and white poly.. i have no idea what i an do to increase the humidity??? any help is greatly appreciated.

1st and 2nd picture looks like a ph problem; I just started my grow and they are looking just like that on some of the lower fan leaves, I figured its either the PH or bugs; I started giving them bottled water and it has not happened to any of the new leaves.
3rd picture looks overwatered, the leaves look heavy and full of water.
You should not water everyday, only when the dirt is dry; stick your finger in it 2" deep , if you feel moisture, do not water, if its dry you can water them again.

ok i just remembered what it could be. i had been giving my plants straight tap water which i tested today at almost 8ph, and in the last week or so ive been giving it filtered water that has been out for at least 24 hours. this isnt much of a problem with the new growth so i bet that was the problem.

as for the second plant, why would it be overwatered if i give all the plants the same amount of water and the first one is not droopy? that 5-6oz that i give them some will usually drain out of the bottom, just a little bit. and everyday 2" the soil is dry. its very dry plus i have a fan blowing across them with lights a few inches away. i just put a DIY humidifier with a bowl of water and a wick in front of a fan, ill see if that helps any...
