Is this space to small?

Hey my grow area is 2 feet wide 3 feet long and 4.5 feet tall. Is this to small for a 250 watt hps/mh light?

It's good as long as you have room for the light - if not, go with a t5

i doubt thats enough space... unless if you use a tiny pot (i'd say <1gal pot) and restrict height of the plant to under 2 feet... sativas can grow over 6' tall... And since you only have 4.5'... a 2' plant + 2' bulb to bud + 0.5' light fixture... that's your already your 4.5'

Yea it looks like I am going to have to stick with CFL's. I have 2 105 watt cfl's. They are the blue spectrum. I was wondering if anyone knew if they made a 105 watt red spectrum for flowering.....
