Seedlings under a 430 HPS Sun Aggro Bulb (or us CFL?)

Hey Guys

Im picking up a 430HPS Kit with a sun aggro bulb but am wondering if its going to be too intense for the little guys to begin germination on. I have read some mixed reviews, some saying its good... and some saying it will burn the plant.

If the HPS bulb is too bright for it i was thinking of getting a small light fixture with a couple of Daylight CFL bulbs... which do you think would work best?

and if i use the CFL for germing, after how many nodes should i switch it to the HPS light?

help is appreciated, i want to start germing tomorrow

thanx

I'm using cfl's for my whole grow (space/heat issues), and my plants (so far) are bushy as fuck! A buddy of mine who does his thing commercially is in love with my young plants, because they are so squat with fat ass stems. Zero stretch, and I don't even have the best spectrum (5500k not 6500k). Definetly crank up that hps for flower, though. You might want to use CFL's until about a week before you go to 12/12. Switching then will introduce the plants to the red spectrum, which some say will help trigger the plants to flower more quickly at 12/12. Congrats on the 430, I wish I could have one here. By next spring.........

using CFL's for 6 plants is a little too much, ill probably have to have at least 15 bulbs... im sticking with the HPS light

however, i did go out yesterday and get some CFL's for germing, so im going to use those once the seeds have germed (should be today hopefully ) until they begin to grow a bit, get stronger, and can take the stronger light
