starting my bubbler at the weekend but do not have a CF meter. is it an essential peice of kit or can i get away without it?

using vitalink a and b as nutes. I know how much to put in but with regard to toppin up im unsure. can i just empty and refill the whole unit once a week or do i need to top up the nutes imbetween?

any advice would be appreciated. dont get online much but will check back before the weekend.

Hi. I have used Vitalink nutrients for 2 years now and managed without a CF meter no problems. I always top up as required and do a complete nute change once a week. Just check the PH is around 6 and all should be well. Have fun.

one thing, when you say top up do you mean mix up abother litre of nutes and add?? or just water?
