DEFINATIVE Help With My Nutes, Please!!

Hi All

I am 9 days into my 3rd grow. My last two grows gave me a lovely smoke but my buds dont fill out they way they should do.

I am using these nutes in the 1st & 2nd pics for flowering & tomato food.
The 3rd and 4th are my Veg nutes.

I want to know are my nutes strong enough? (Please check the numbers on the bottle in the pic)

I keep seeing numbers like 20-20-20(Veg) 10 - 30 - 10 (Flowering). So ARE my nutes strong enough? Sorry but I am really shit when it comes to numbers

The veg nutes work wonders with a bit of epsom salts when needed. My plants grow huge. I had 850W HPS lights on my flowering plants and still no fat nuggets!

ANY help is appreciated. I am tired growing big LIGHT buds.

PS The other pics are my girls Day 9. Just switched to 250W HPS today!

start again values are out

(list of things to get :

potting soil
building sand
perlite
worm Casting
Premix(organic) 12-6-6)

mix all up outide as some of the stuff is not good for your lungs

mix in ratio off following :-

60% potting soil
15% perlite
10% building sand
10% worm castings
5% premix

=100% good food

Premix values -

N- 12

P- 6

K- 6

(key N for nitrogen
P for Phosphorus
K for Potassium
MJ use's Nitrogen at a fast rate)
the above premix value is a good starter and is pretty much in the correct PH value
later in your grow add nutes this is just a premix to get you started.

MJ does use ALOT of N for vegatative growth but you can burn them also useing too much. I recomend you use blood meal and bone meal in that soil mix above and if you mix enough to fill a 3 gallon pot at one time use a nice tablespoon of each. The bloodmeal has a awesome rateing of N and usually its like 15-0-0 and the bone meal is usually like 0-12-0. You can also mix with water dureing feeding. You should check out Fish emultion too about a teaspoon to a quart of water (BTW this stuff fuckin stinks) . I see you are useing Advanced Nutes and I believe them and Fox farms to be the best. I use A.N. sensi grow part A and B and sensi bloom part A and B, Check out A.N's Voodoo juice and if you do you Gotta have carbo load, pirranah and tarantula too. The sensi-zym and micro both are HUGE helps but as for buds they sell something called BUD BLAST ( I think is what its called it has a picture of a bomb gettin dropped) I heard it does wonders for the size of buds you get.

Hey BigC,

My experience has shown that light buds are not due to treatment during Veg state. It's all about flower time.

Light/airy buds can be caused by temps, relative humidity, light intensity, root size and of course flower nutes. Go through those one by one and I think you'll find the issue.

First off the Advanced nutrients you purchased is for Hydroponics systems. I do believe if I see the PICS right you are growing in soil. Look for PETERS 20.-20.-20
at your local garden center fro veggin, and Peters african violet food for flowering 12-34-14 make sure they are water soluable nutes and not timed release.
