Sea of Green...

I have a question for anyone out there. TO begin with I know how to grow and have been for years with great yields but, am tryign something new. The Sea of Green idea which is Im training my plants to lay down and branch out more in essence pruning. My question is whats teh best way to lay these plants down and prune them so they branch on every junction where new shoots are coming out...? I dont want to lose any areas due to my pruning...

Thanx for any feedback otherwise I'll be fine on my own... You learn from the mistakes. in any instance Ill post some pics and info on how it worked for anyone thinking of wanting to try this...

My sea of Vert...

I know that a sea of green is a bunch of plants veggin togetehr quickly but im setting up my new sea with alot of plants all trained at teh same height so it looks like a sea... not in the literal sense... I just wanetd to know if there was any specific way I could train these babies to bush unnaturally.... By means of my own pruning and bending the stalks.....? Thanks for telling me what a SEA OF GREEN was though...

Yea, you can grow plants taller with Scrog but for Sog it's generally a plant per square foot.
If you really need to prune then do it once before inducing flowering and a few weeks thereafter.
If you want to train the plants then use some big rubber paperclips and straighten them out, then pull down the branch and fold the paperclip in half over it and stick it in the soil. Don't use anything metal for doing this...either rubber or plastic.

Talking

pierce holes in the pot and tie the branches open to maximise the yield, however this will take up more space!.....Peace out.....Sid

If you are growing indoors, getting them to lay down is just an inefficient use of space.Just let them grow vertical and add some side lighting to eliminate shading.

I tryed trainin a plant to grow flat under a window by layin the pot on its side till the plant grew at a right angle to the soil when it was young then standing the pot back up and tyin the branches down with string.

worked sound till it got big then it kept falling over!

next 1 i tryed was choppin the top off a plant between nodes and trainin the to new "tops" it gave it from the last node to grow out at right angles to the main trunk.

when it grew past the edge of the window i just let them grow up again. looked dead cool from inside and it couldnt be seen from outside.
