Removing 2" net pot before placing into 5" net pot

Has anyone noticed whether or not it makes a difference whether or not that you take the 2" net pot off of the rockwool cube? I normally take the 2" pot and cube and place directly in the 5" net pot along with more grow rock. I'm starting to think that this is causing problems with the rootball development. I'm noticing some deficiencys and bad growth characteristics. Check it out let me know what you think. Is it possible to cut the cube out of the 2" net pot without damaging the rootball too bad?

if the roots are being hampered then yeah i'd cut it away,.. with my net pots i cut every other support out of my nets to give the roots more room to grow.. I've messed around a lot with roots and as long as they are getting what they need (air, water, nutes) they should be fine, you can damage the root structure and the plant will recover (given the right air, water , nutes)

Thanks for the reply. Yep thats kinda what I was hoping to hear. I guess I need to look at something different. Maybe they are fine. They just seem to really stay in one big mass rather than shooting out and going down. It takes them a while before they actually fill up the bucket space. Have a good one.
