hey guys, im a long time lurker here and i got a question?

I plan on making a new growbox using a 150 or 250watt Hps security light from home depot.

Now my question is how do i wire it so it plugs right into a normal american wall socket?

u have to be an electrician to do this... i would not reccomend doin this based on a good idea... u need a balast for a hps light... i was goin to do the same thing with the lights from denaults hardware store but after reading that ur HOUSE CAN BURN DOWN IF U DO THIS WRONG i decided to just do it how everyone else is doin it...
go to ur local hydro store and get a light, a balast, a hood and the right wall socket and u will be much happier... imo of coure..

You can use one of those lights as a grow light. Here's a tutorial that was salvaged from OG reposted on icmag on how to do it. As long as you follow all the instructions you should be fine.
