Do fans strengthen plants stems and if so when should I introduce them?

Just wondering if I should keep fans blowing on the plants, and at what size should I start doing that?

it's good to always have an ossilating fan blowing on them, or if that's too much then deflect the airflow off of a wall first. it'll make the stems much thicker and stronger, as well as keeping fresh (co2 rich) air flowing around them.

I leave the fan in a fixed position. I am always rotating my plants so they are never in the same place for more then 24 hours. Seems easier to me since I take them out and mist them every night.
