Ok... I am going to be growing in a closet - 5'(deep) x 4.5'(wide) x 9'(tall)..

I will have a 400W HPS and 6 26w CFLs(4daylight and 2 cool white)

I own the house so I can do some mods(dont want to do a lot though - selling in 4 years and dont want to have a lot to patch up)

I have just bought the Stanley Blower fan from Walmart and plan to use it for ventilation. I will also have a standard sized oscillating fan inside the room for circulation and for promoting strong stem growth. I cannot decide how to use the stanley blower for venting. I will be cutting a hole for intake at bottom of closet connected to the room outside the closet. I will be putting a register on the outside and pipe it to the same shape rectangular intake hole directly on the inside of room. This will be about 4 inches from floor(right above baseboard). I will be making the same type hole for exhause at the top of the same wall(with a register on other side for stealth).

I was thinking of putting the stanley blower right beside the intake vent sucking air from the outside room and aim the blower at my 400W HPS. Will this work with passive exhaust? This way it will be active intake - passive exhaust?

If possible, I would like to keep from attaching anything to the blower fan(such as ducting). If I need to, what is the best way to do this? I want to only use the stanley fan for ventilation and I want to keep the stanley fan inside the grow room. What can I do to achieve this?

well I would get some duct fans from home depot

also you dont need the CFLs with 400w hps they will just add heat and the extra light really isnt needed with a 400w hps

I would stick to just the hps the CFLs will add alot of heat

is smell a problem? you might want to check out some of the inline fans and carbon filters and fans ebay has

the stanley blower would be good I think you would need 2 though one to bring fresh air in and one to push old air out!
