First Grow Harvest

Well, finally after waiting with much anticipation, I have chopped down my plants from my first grow. I started with four Skunk#1 seeds (I posted a few times att he start and middle u can search)...1 became my monter plant, now 5ft tall (which as you can see below now has provided me with many cuttings)...the other 3 went into flowering....1 became male, then there were two left. I topped one and left the other b/c it had already gotten too tall, the topped one was stunted for about a week so it was much smaller then the other. So I decided to see how each would turn out. They were veg'ed by 6 30watt cfl's with reflectors 6500k 2000 lumens each for a total of 12000 lumens (so 6 for 4 plants....turned out amazing they grew nice and fast and compact as well....I was suprised that the lights did so well). they were flowered under a 400watt hps that i bought. I used just gen. purpose nutes 20-20-20 and only fed about 5 times. I was waiting for proper nutes and stuff (for free) but they didnt come. So these nugs could be so much fatter, but they r still an alright size considering. I didnt take a wet weight, i'm waiting til' its dried. Hopefully I'll get a decent amount. The resin crystals are heavily packed on the nugs, sorry for the shit pics but you can kinda see. it has a nice skunky smell and if you rub a nug or frosted leaf and take a whif it has a totally different smell and smells amazing..... I just cut them tuesday so hopefully by the weekend it will be dried and ready to cure. My next grow will prolly consist of 5 or 6 plants like the smaller one there, with a continual switch of veg'ed clones to flowering thanks to my mother aptly named "PEPE" ....here are some pics.

Very nice - how long did you flower them?

And how did you decide when to harvest?

Very nice first grow mate, especially from a 400 HPS and the nutes you used. I have to say do that skunk1 (Cheese) is a easy plant to grow but can be very dangerous because of its potent smell.. It nearly got me busted 5 years ago because of the smell and with no carbon filter.

Anyway well done and i hope you get another crop on the go quickly..

Haha, well actually they were harvested a tad early. They flowered for 7 1/2 weeks. So I cut 'em a 1/2 week early. This was because my landlord is coming this weekend for rent (He never comes in, just to the door for rent and also has to give 24hrs notice before comin into the place...me and the roomies love it cuz it helps to get a cleanup in when we need to lol) and the it got to the point where the smell was not being contained in the room anylonger (did a great job til that point). My next grow will be a selfcontained unit with filter so I wont have to worry. So i just didn't want to risk anything. And plus our landlord is a cool guy.

Luckily, the plants were showing that they were mature (a majority of the hairs were turning amber or have turned) and also the trich's (crystals) were starting to go milky which is where i wanted them to be at harvest. So it looks like I'll be fine and no harm will be done from me taking em down early.

We'll see when I smoke that first joint or hit that first gas mask.....

Well my buddy know guys from back at his hometown that run a hyrdoponics store and they create and grow crazy weed all organic. He could get me free nute n shit from them just cuz he was buds with them. same with supplies. Since I dont need too much its not a probelm for them to just give it to my buddy. I can't complain I guess lol. I got everything I need for my next several grows. which is awesome and helps out alot as u could imagine.
