Safe transplant help

I have two plants around three weeks old in a one liter container. They are about two inches apart from each other. I have another container around 3-5 gallons that I would like to transplant them into. I need advice or information on how I can safely transplant my plants without seriously injuring them. Thanks.

only one plant per container. that is elementary. to plant two in one is asking for failure. the roots will tangle and one will overgrow/kill the other, or both will die. and just do a search, transplaning is also considered elementary and no offense, if you don't know how to do it, you shouldn't be growing weed.

Thank you, I am aware how to transplant.

I was more concerned with transplanting a plant that could have had it's roots already tangled with a plant near it.

oh, sorry. i was in a shitty mood this morning so i might have come off like a prick. if the roots are tangled, then try to untangle them if possible. if they are inter-twined then use sterilized scissors or a razor blade to cut where they are tangled. this will stunt the plant for a day or two, but it won't permanently harm it at all. people who keep bonsai trees trim the roots on a regular basis to keep the plant small, and thats how i know it won't do any severe damage. if you have rooting/cloning powder or gel, dab some of that where you cut to minimize the rebound time. good luck.

Was a bit harsh.

Your best option is to bite the bullet and kill 1, you try untangling the roots and you are likely to end up with 2 dead plants.

No dude, don't kill one plant. If you are really worried about it, take your time and only cut roots off of one plant. This should free the other plant without cutting any of it's roots. I personally don't think cutting the roots is a big deal. The plants will survive a light snip here and there.

i'll bet my harvest that if you do have to cut the roots apart, they will both live. unless of course you end up cutting like 70% of the roots off, but the little bit thats tangled won't hurt anything, but maybe stunt/stress it for a couple days.

They got to tall, stems too thick, roots too long.

Both of them died, there were way too many roots to worry about during transplant. Im starting over right now. It only took 22 days to get that far, i'm in no hurry.

Thanks everyone for the advice.
