Max Yield = Max Wattage?

I'm totally new to this, so I'm wondering if the logic here works.

If 1 Watt = 1 gram, would it be reasonable to think that maximum grams per strain would be a good recommendation for wattage?

Why I ask is I am considering Lowryder 2. If it tops out at 45g, is it reasonable to assume that 45 Watts of lighting would work out just fine? I'd be extremely happy with 45g, that's overkill for me.

1 gram per watt is what the true professionals shot for, however, that rule is only for strains with average yields, for low yield plants(lowryder is probably consider one) I doubt they can get nearly that more like 4 to 1.
