Is ppm important????
im a first time grower, im having problems with my plants....how important is the ppm....how do i raise or lower it...i use deer park spring water....
Water is judged by taste. The Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of the water primarily affect taste and are measured in mg/liter(parts per million). The other leading influence on taste is temperature. The easiest way to determine what the taste of water is to find out the TDS of the water. A scale of 0 to 500 is used by US manufacturers with waters over 500 being called mineral water. Zero is a distilled water, which means there are no minerals found measured to parts per million. Zero does not mean absolutely zero, it means zero per million. · Shenandoah Distilled Water is 0 ppm · Shenandoah Spring Water is 92 ppm · Shenandoah Fluoridated Spring Water is 93 ppm · Deer Park Spring Water is 95 ppm · Mountain Valley Spring Water is 268 ppm · Perrier is 500ppm · San Pellegrino is over 1,000ppm. is this good or bad for my plants???? are my plants missing out on something because of this ppm being low....they are 3 weeks old...please help |
