spider mites+oil

this thread could go in the sick plants forum but i am not having an issue and needing immediate assistance just looking to discuss...

I have come across an oil looks to be close to maybe neem oil but says its safe for all applications and can be used anytime...

this oil says it works by suffocating the mites therefore there hasn't been a case where the mite builds up a resistance to the application.

Oil-AwayTM Supreme Insecticidal Spray
Improves formula kills pests without harmful chemicals, mixes easily

<!--WRS 4085--><!--

--> Only from Gardens Alive! Oil Away Supreme is an improvement on our original Oil-Away Insecticidal Spray. Oil Away supreme is a plant based insecticidal spray that controls a wide variety of insect pests on fruits and vegetables without harming plants, wildlife or the environment. When we tested this new formulation we found it is more reliable than the original- plus it mixes more easily with water and stays mixed!

Oil Away Supreme is a must for home gardens, orchards and landscapes because it:
  • contains no petroleum products. Oil Away Supreme is made from cottonseed oil that’s extracted the old-fashioned way- by squeezing or pressing. No chemical solvents, normally used in the commercial extraction process, are used.
  • can be sprayed all season. Unlike “dormant oils,” it won’t burn or harm sensitive foliage if used in warmer weather.
  • does not have long-term effects on beneficial insect populations. Lady beetles and other beneficial insects that migrate onto a plant after it’s been sprayed are not affected. Beneficial parasites are also spared.
  • stays effective for long periods. most pesticides kill by poisoning, but Oil Away Supreme kills primarily by suffocating. That is one reason no insect is known to have developed resistance to any spray oil!
  • is safe for people, wildlife and the environment. When used according to label directions, Oil Away Supreme won’t harm the environment.
Because it’s homogenized, Oil Away Supreme is easier to use with a sprayer and won’t clog the nozzle. One quart of concentrated Oil Away supreme makes 12.5 gallons summer spray or 6 gallons of dormant spray, depending on the dilution used.

anyone use this product or have any experience with it? just thinking it may be an alternative to the tobacco tea and others.
