hey ever body, I'm new here, so hi

i was just wondering what you guys think my chances are of succeeding at my first grow. i plan on using a ebb n glow system. if you've ever seen the 'i grow chronic' video, thats pretty much how ill be doing it. the reason i ask what you think my chances are is because I'm a complete newb, and i only plan on checking up on the plants (8 plants) 2-3 times a week. do you think if i set the timers and nutes just right ill be safe? i cant check them everyday as i wont be growing them in my house, but rather at a place I'm renting for really cheap.

please, suggestions are appreciated.

that video is great, and i recommend it to everyone.. i like soil, but still it is very informative, do your reading on here, and you can do it.

Going hydro is definitely a good way of maximizing yield by allowing bigger root growth. It is not so forgiving as growing in soil. Regular checks of ppm, ec and pH are needed and must be noted down to see how much you can feed the plants since each variety/strain has different needs.
You can definitely check 3 or 4 times a week or less during veg, but you still have to change the reservoir with new water/nutrients every week incase of fluctuating pH, ppm etc.
I don't grow in any type of hydro setup so that is far as I go with my understanding of it.

Wish you luck on your first grow. It will be your first learning curb to find out the needs of your plants.
