Harvested a little..big headache HELP!

Hey guys. I had 1 tall plant that had part of the top cola turn all brown because of my HPS burning it. So i trimmed it off early and smoked it, leting the rest of the plant grow.

Was still wet, but i didn't really care. Problem was, i got a massive headache from smoking it.

The ferts. i used was MG which is def. NOT organic. I did though stop fertalizing i believe 2 weeks or so before i chopped it and only fed it water.

When i was tokin the blunt with the burnt, brown pistals in them i could hear crackles. I know there isnt any seeds in it.

When i grounded it up, it smelled really strange. Nothing like weed, but was cleary very wet.

What happened here? The rest of my grow is drying/curing and im not smoking until it is properly dried out and cured for a couple days. Those buds smell like headies.

Maybe it was the really wet stems?

maybe it was the blunt that gave u a headache? plus trying to smoke wet pot sucks. trust me its worth the weeks wait. i say let the rest dry properly and then smoke some of that and see what happens? if u still get a headache don't smoke the rest. other than that what more can ya do?

I fear its the nutes just in there and cause it was still wet they remained. But if the others, all dried and cured, still give me a headache im flippin all of it.

You sure it was Burn or Mold...... sounds more like Mold to me which is not very good for you AT ALL!

If it was burnt as you say then all the flushing in the world is not going to remove the ferts that are in the burnt buds. Flushing removes the ferts by forcing the plant to use its stored-up food, dead/burnt plant matter cannot be absorbed so the chemicals stay in them. Might want to turn the burn stuff into hash.

It was the top of the plant. So, the side of the top of the bud had turned all brown. A small patch of it not the entire thing. The part closest to the light, but around it was still good.

I have yet to smoke the other dried bud, but will post back on how it goes.

Hopefully the dried bud with all the moisture left will do it.

EDIT: oh yeah, im pretty sure it wasnt mold. I inspected it and there wasn't any mold on it

Did you let it dry and cure at all or just smoke it right off the plant?

i too have picked my buds a little early and smoked them and got a minor headache, i reccomend sticking the bud on some aluminum foil in the oven on lik 120 degrees for like a half hour or so and then smokin it, or let it hang upside down in a cabinet over the stove for about 2 - 3 days, then smoke it. or just wait it out, the dryer the bud the better its gonna be (too dry = bad)

Did you flush the plant at all? I think that's the main problem.

Also, drying your buds with heat or anything like that is not so good. The poing of slow drying/curing is to let starches break down into sugars. It's like when you get a green banana and leave it out for a few days and it ripens up - same basic principle.

Well i let it dry for about 5 days, 68-70 tyemps. Stuck it in the oven for maybe a minute TOPS at 200 degrees cause i was so damn anxious. I've got a jar full of other buds dried and curing and will take a smoke probably this sunday.

I'll report back then!
